It’s true that incels can’t be cured by “just seeing a sex worker,” but a sex *therapist* coming from the right place like Dr. Suzy sure has a chance

God damn this is an amazing take. Unironicly. Inceldom is a textbook example of a person who could benefit the most from a sex therapist. And ironically is the least likely to go.

I’m fascinated by the in-depth reflections of our wonderfully intelligent DrSuzy, breaking down stigmas around sexuality, and providing multiple orgasmic bridges to greater empathy

It’s been decades since I was a horny, sexually frustrated teenage boy, but I remember it, and so will try to explain a bit about incels. The first thing that women need to understand is that a young man’s sex drive does not fluctuate. He is just as horny EVERY DAY as a woman is on her very most intense days. [I’m given to understand that most women’s sex drives fluctuate with their menstrual cycles].

Incels tend to blame their condition on being short, or ugly, or poor, or some combination of the above. The truth is that most of them, at least the ones I’ve observed, simply have terrible social skills; they aren’t likeable, and don’t know how to be likeable.

The result is that there are large numbers of unlikeable young men who are teeth-grindingly horny every day from puberty onward and can’t get laid without paying for it. [If you are a woman reading this, try to imagine yourself in that situation; you’re maximally horny EVERY DAY and can’t get laid, at all.] The women who respond to these unlikeable young men by disliking and rejecting them aren’t doing anything wrong, but it’s unsurprising if many years of that kind of frustration tend to result in many of the frustrated young men developing misogynistic attitudes, and a few of them becoming mentally unbalanced and violently antisocial.

I was there once. I was unlikeable; sarcasm was my default conversational style. It took me years to recognize why I wasn’t liked, and more years to figure out how to change it. Some men lack the insight to recognize their own shortcomings; of those who do recognize their issues, many simply cannot figure out how to change them.

Those who recognize their own lack of social skills can be helped, if teachers are available who can show them a more likeable approach to the world. Those who don’t recognize their own shortcomings and blame their unpopularity on unchangeable factors like height are much more difficult.

Love it Susan. Especially this: “If we have funding to increase the military budget every year until it blows us to kingdom come, we have funding for a few blow-jobs to let our people cum.”

Jungian reactionaries have Jordan B Peterson.
    Reichian progressives get Dr. Suzy.
I explain cultural fixation on the former by the prevalence of fear and hatred over love.

Oh…Dr Suzy and Max, thank you oh, so much for such a great birthday. It’s like the icing on the cake (no pun intended) to my new life in LA! And thank you so much for the wonderful gift. I could hardly wait for the show to be over to be alone with it…just kidding!
And what a way to spend my first LA birthday with my new friends. I felt like I was a kid again having fun with my friends, and cake and candles. Thank you to everyone who came. I LOVE YOU ALL. Especially thanks to Dr. Suzy and Max for giving me this wonderful home, this wonderful party and this new wonderful life in LA. Who wouldn’t want to live and love like a bonobo and I get to do it every single day.
Can’t wait for DomCon this weekend and to see Dr. Suzy’s talk!!
