Bravo Polyamory: Dwayne Mooney & Billie Jordan on DrSuzy.Tv
Length 1:35:14 Date: Feb. 27, 2016
In between clinical sessions, art films, Memory Foam orgasms and my Bonobo Way talk at UC Berkeley’s 5th International Conference on the Future of Monogamy & Nonmonogamy, I chanced to meet a sweet couple, Dwayne Mooney and Billie Jordan, who happen to be Bravo TV’s poster pair for polyamory, and lo and behold, within a week, here they are in Bonoboville.
It started with a bonoboësque “Meeting in the Ladies Room” of the UC Berkeley International House. Not that we did the hoka-hoka, but as soon as Dayton and I emerged from our stalls, we found ourselves seduced by Billie’s warm smile and alluring voice. Next thing we knew, Ms. Jordan was interviewing me about the history of the original pagan Valentine’s Day, Lupercalia, perched on the ladies room sink. As we stepped out into the hall, there was Dwayne fresh from giving his own talk on “A New Polyamorous Reality TV Show,” and we just had to invite them to Bonoboville.
Featured on Bravo’s popular program, “Newlyweds: The First Year,” husband Dwayne and wife Billie, (married 15 years) attend Dwayne’s son’s wedding, along with Dwayne’s girlfriend Melissa Luna. This upsets the bride, Dwayne’s future daughter-in-law, and creates the sexually-tinged family drama for which Bravo is famous. Stay tuned for more!
Meanwhile, here at The Dr. Susan Block Show, we do a different kind of “Reality TV.” Ours is real reality, since it is live and unscripted, with minimal editing. This show bounces from stimulating sapiosexual conversation to Bonoboville Communion, from Dayton’s award-winning kegel muscle demo to an inspirational rap from Ikkor the Wolf (more on that in a minute) and back to Dwayne.
A stand-up comic, co-star of Jesus Is Black and author of Sacred Man: A Man’s Guide to Successful Polyamory Relationships: How to Openly Love, Heal and Manage Multiple Women, Dwayne speaks from the heart and the funny bone (and yes, his boner libido) about how to “manage” polyamory—whether you’re a New Age pimp or a professor of sociology—with grace, respect and good humor. He comes by his wit in a family way, being the son of the living legendary Paul Mooney, best-known for his ground-breaking work as the late great Richard Pryor’s writing partner, as well as his appearances on Chappelle’s Show and unflinching political ribaldry. This being the last Saturday of Black History Month, we pay tribute to this historically important, fearless and hilarious comedian who has so often explored African-American and African history.
Papa Paul wasn’t exactly polyamorous, though he did have multiple partners, mostly on the down-low. In this regard, the son is more bonoboësque, open and honest than the father, but the apple doesn’t fall far from the comedic tree, and Dwayne keeps us chuckling about the ironies of polyamory throughout the show. When I ask him if he thinks he gets his insight into polyamory, in part, because he is one of a set of twins and learned to “share” early on, starting in the womb, Dwayne exclaims, “No one has ever asked me that,” saying that the question is so on point that I must be a “real doctor.” Yes indeed, here in Bonoboville, we are real Reality-Tv, and the revelations keep on coming… polyamory, female empowerment, group sex, Orpheus Black, Wry Mantione, cuckolding, “sperm wars” and more.

And then it’s Bonoboville Communion time, featuring “Best Altar Girl” 2015 SUZY Award-winner Dayton Rains—porn star, webcam and phone therapist with the Institute—looking pretty in her pink 32DDD boob–revealing shelf bra, strategically ripped fishnets, heels and not much else.
Dwayne will not imbibe alcohol, but does take Bonoboville Communion with pure spring H20—Holy Water!—making it more of a Bonoboville Baptism. Though the way Dayton holds his head back and pours it down his throat, I feel compelled to caution, “No waterboarding now!”
Billie not only passes on the liquor, she won’t even ingest salt. But with a splash of lemon and an adventurous attitude, she manages to commune more or less fully, even doing a kind of tit-for-tat hoka-hoka, and for that, we give thanks.
We also give spanks. Dwayne, however, isn’t so keen on any kind of BDSM, at least not for himself. But it reminds me to give a hat tip to Mollena Williams-Haas, my guest on Spanksgiving 2010, and renowned composer Georg Friedrich Haas, whose kinky marriage is portrayed quite positively in the NY Times, a breakthrough for the Grey Lady.
Dwayne may not be into BDSM (“too close to slavery”), but he doesn’t appear to mind giving a Bonobo Way book–spanking to our Ass. Producer’s spankable ass. Neither do I. Then Dayton delivers a virtuoso performance as the Goddess Venus Cannabis, explaining that she is a “care-giver” as she spreads her great gams and squeezes those award-winning kegel muscles around a big smokin’ fattie for the awe-struck oglement of all.
Shifting gears from Dayton’s “Most Talented Twat” to hip-hop-talented Ikkor the Wolf of the Green Cross who steps up to rap his amazing, inspirational and poetic plea for peace on Earth, “We Are One,” honoring Black History Month and The Bonobo Way with a beat that gets our fingers in the air, even if our butts stay on the bed for this one.
Butts up (at least, Dayton gets her butt up) for Ikkor’s sexy “She Bad,” then some of us #FreeTheNipple, others hula-hoop, everybody gets lei’ed and I signed books for Dwayne and Billie (being poly, each get his and her own copy) plus a mystery guy who came through Meet-Up and worked with Nelson Mandela once upon a time.

Whether they read them or spank with them, I hope they help us spread the good word about the bonobos and how their polyamorous ways are an integral part of keeping the peace in their communities.
Then hopefully we can save the bonobos, as we learn from them how we might possibly *save* human life on Earth… or at least save our sex lives from boredom.

I have to say that this show was so inspirational for me in many ways. Not only did I get the chance to further my learning about polyamory, but I also got to hear the amazing Ikkor delight me with his performance of “We Are One.” I feel that message is part of the Bonobo Way. We need to love each other or nothing is going to get any better. With that being said, maybe you too will find this message by ordering a copy of the book THE BONOBO WAY. We can’t change the world, but we can start with ourselves…

Dwayne and Billie were lovely guests who not only have an open relationship but are also open about speaking about it! They are quite a couple and so generous for the intimate details they shared. We were reminded there are many different ways to be polyamorous. And Ikkor really topped off the show with his awesome performance!

Based on Dwayne and Billie’s insights and conversation with you Dr. Block, I’d suggest that there are a few elements that are quintessential to polyamorous relationships:
1) a light heart
2) a sense of humor
3) acts compersion rather than of jealousy.
Listening to the lot of you speak about these relationship dynamics is really a sapiosexual’s dream. I mean seriously, who else is taking such a real, unscripted approach to these topics? Okay… well maybe Bravo Tv is doing their part, but people really need to know that there is life beyond monogamy.
All in all, this show was a great climax to an amazing month.
Big thanks Ikkor for bringing the hip-hop elements into Bonoboville, and a special thanks to Dayton Rains for reminding us why you hold the award for “most talented twat.”
Cheers Bonobos!
