Yale’s Whim ‘n Rhythm at Dr. Suzy’s Speakeasy
Skull & Bones might be the most famous senior society at Yale, but Whim ‘n Rhythm is by far the most charming.
If you recall, this past May, we produced a fabulous show with the Whim gals here at the Speakeasy, filling the halls with mellifluous a Capella harmonies and inspired lingerie-costumed theater. Read all about it here in the Whim Bloggamy
We’ve also just produced three TV shows, and one 85-minute DVD of this enchanted evening: “Yale’s Whim ‘n Rhythm @ Dr. Suzy’s Speakeasy” – also available in download and streaming video. If you’re a Yale student or alumnus, you can take advantage of our special Yalie’s Discount . Not to be elitist, but, well, the damn degree has to be worth something.
And Season’s Greetings: this DVD makes a great holiday gift for that special Yalie in your life, even if that Yalie is you! Fill your holidays with “the food of love” – beautiful music!
It’s a night of sexy twists and madcap turns from a fresh crop of Young Blues (class of ’06), guaranteed to please and tease. Read the story, then watch the show, then come back here to commit bloggamy with me (if you can figure all that out, you must be a Yalie, though not with the initials GWB :).
boola boola la, baby!

These girls are sexy and some of them sing pretty well. But they are dumber than porn stars and bitchy spoiled brat hypocrites. Check out how they whine and complain about their innocense being corrupted: http://www.ivygateblog.com/

This program showcases Talent with a capital “T” It was truly a remarkable evening for the gals of Whim ‘n Rhythm, guests, and crew! While in the editorial process, Dr. Suzy and I enjoyed placing the choice of shots to highlight each lead singer as well as the girls backing them up. Our goal was to get everyone to sound their voices, and their hearts – audience included! My personal favorite is the song entitled “Galileo, King of Night Vision, King of Insight” It’s a spiritually aware piece that I hope you all can hear, contemplate and enjoy! Bravo Yalie’s!…and hat’s off to the Whiff boys for their bravery during the fun moments in Dr. Suzy’s Boudoir after the show. Mar SorellCo-Producer and EditorThe Dr. Susan Block Show

Hi Dr. Suzy,I’m living in Vienna right now, teaching English in a darling little spa town and seeking a cello teacher/connections, as well as singing in a blues/rhythm and blues band… Thanks so much for everything – the night at your Speakeasy was certainly a memorable one, and we all really appreciated your generosity. Hope all is well with you!! Cheers,Meaghan

Suzy! I actually ended up in LA after all. I’m living with a bunch of Yalies in this fabulous, old house in Hollywood… I had a wonderful time at the Speakeasy; it’d be fun to come back and visit. Let me know if there are any upcoming events. Best wishes,Thomas

Susan, Susan, Dear Dr. Suzy,Those Yale girls are absolutly beautiful, their voices are like angels. I watched the clip and I was most touched by their innocence and of course their voices. I was also intrigued by this start-up line in life’s adventures. What would happeen as the years went by? The, careers, marriages, the defeats and their life victories. Their obligations to wealthy families and the not so waelthy families among them. Yale is a triumph of the individual and the albatross of the future. Yet they are all so sexy and pardon me as an Italian the perfect show wives! And you Susan are every man’s dream! To all of you I wish you well because you are sort of the monarchy of old and the beauty of the future.Carlo Filangieri

Thanks so much! It was a wonderful and ridiculous evening performing at your place, and you were a lovely hostess! Life after Yale is great. I’ve been cast as Cinderella in a children’s musical. I hope all is well with you!Best,Alli
