Willem de Ridder was a painter, storyteller, radio and TV producer, publisher, inventor, musician, actor, talk show host, sound and costume designer and much more. He was the chairman of FLUXUS for Northern Europe, working with Misja Mengelberg, Dick Raaymakers, Louis Andriessens, Nam June Paik, George Maciunas, Wim T. Schippers, Andrew Mc Kenzie and many other artists. He founded and published SUCK, the first European erotic magazine, produced the film series SAD MOVIES, founded the esoteric organization HOLLANDIA INTERNATIONAL and organized, with Bill Levy, the first International Erotic Film Festival.
In America, Willem and Max Lobkowicz, aka Mickey Leblovic, published some of the most innovative magazines and journals, including Love, Hate, Finger, God, Annie Sprinkle’s Hot Shit, The Sprinkle Report, The Ladies Room, the LA Star, Sound Finger (the first talking magazine) and other publications.
