The Doctors to feature Dr. Susan Block with Danièle Watts & Chef Be*Live talking about Erotic Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy
Los Angeles, California: December 1, 2016 — Susan M. Block, Ph.D., a.k.a., “Dr. Suzy,” internationally renowned sexologist, sex therapist, talk show host and best-selling author of The Bonobo Way: The Evolution of Peace through Pleasure (Gardner & Daughters Publishers), will appear on The Doctors this Wednesday, December 7. In Los Angeles, it will air at 11:00 AM on KCAL-9. Check listings for other local times and stations.
On this episode of Season 9 of The Dr. Doctors, Drs. Travis Stork, Nita Landry and Andrew Ordon interview Dr. Block about “erotic hypnosis” and hypnotherapy, one of many techniques that she has utilized as a sex therapist in private practice for over 25 years.
“Effective erotic hypnotherapy puts you into a sensuous trance state that opens your heart to your most personal desires, taking you on an exciting yet relaxing journey into the deepest parts of your sexual psyche, the erotic theater of the mind,” explains Dr. Block. “There’s a multiplex of movies playing in your internal theater, and each one has a special message just for you, perhaps unlocking repressed personal history. Via erotic hypnosis, you can access the undiscovered secrets of your sexuality to achieve your very highest levels of arousal, climax and relaxation, as well as real-world actualization. Erotic hypnotherapy can help you to escape the stress, superficiality and the enervating tensions of the everyday by awakening parts of you that are usually awake only when you are asleep. Erotic hypnotherapy can also help you to access and better understand your desires (or lack of desire), and to make positive changes in your real life that you might not be so able to make ‘on your own’.”
The Doctors also interview two of Dr. Block’s erotic hypnotherapy “subjects,” renowned actress Danièle Watts, best-known for her role as Cocoa in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and her husband, celebrity raw foods pioneer Chef Be*Live. They discuss the therapeutic effects of erotic hypnosis, touching upon the surprisingly potent use of “trigger words” and their experience of “hands-free orgasms.”
Danièle and Be*Live are now also therapists with the Dr. Susan Block Institute for the Erotic Arts & Sciences, as well as active members of Dr. Block’s Bonoboville, inspired by the “make love not war,” female-empowered bonobo apes.
Part II, Step 2 of Dr. Block’s acclaimed book The Bonobo Way, begins with an exercise in self-hypnosis that utilizes the colors of the spectrum to put you (the reader) into a light trance, helping you to relax into “releasing your inner bonobo.”
