I’m so excited about your recent road trips Dr Suzy and all the deep connections made whilst more exposure to saving the bonobos from extinction via awareness and the message FROM the bonobo way to also improving humanity’s relationships.

I can almost hear the echoes of your pleasure cries as they must have sounded in the Hotel Durant air vents and wow! The other guests kind of answered back huh? That’s rad!

All in all there were a *lot* of folks touched by your appearance and it was fertile ground for all you are sharing. The perfect place and time.

Wow! Dr. Block this was an amazing blog post, and one that I’ve been waiting to take a peek at since before you traveled to Berkeley. I knew that this would be an insightful read, but the raw emotion, wisdom, and tales of communal ecstasy were simply delightful… I laughed, I cried (seriously the part about your cousin was a tear-jerker, my condolences) and in the end, I wanted to read more. Thanks for sharing the Bonobo Way with the peeps of Bezerkeley, a mimosa toast to you and Max aka “Heater Boy,” as well as a special tip of the hat to Dayton Rains for driving.

P.S. Having read this blog entry, I don’t think I’ll be looking at memory foam the same way. Seriously.

I would like to start by thanking Dr. Suzy & Captain Max for entrusting me with their lives while we made this amazing journey from Southern California to Berkeley, and for including me in all of the festivities..
I learned so much on this trip, I felt like I was in college. My brain was like a sponge soaking up all the information I could about Polyamory & Monogamous relationships.
Watching Dr. Susan Block give her wonderful talk was quite a treat. Here I got to see my mentor up there on stage in her always sexy yet very cool attire. I watched as the room started to fill with people & thought to myself, Wow, I work with this incredible woman… The fun didn’t stop there, as you see in the photos, we met a lot of wonderful people, including my Mom.
The car ride home was pretty much a great end to all the excitement – from smelling Poopville to munching down on tacos. I hope by reading this great blog you will get a feel for what a great time we all had. Thank you Berkeley for embracing me & helping me learn new things.. XOXO Dayton Rains

Great that you are on the road. I also sometimes cringe at the term “poly,” as it means something different to everyone it seems. Maybe a 50 Shades of Poly essay is in order? I’ve been getting quizzed about the how tos of open relationships by a bunch of my younger friends of late (I turned down two 24-year-olds a couple years ago and got a ton of abuse for being “ageist.” It was more that I was scared. So I’ve made a concerted effort to get to know younger folks more). They all use the term “poly” and it really does mean so many different things to them as to be somewhat silly. They encourage me to write about it, but I hesitate as I don’t want to out other dear friends’ sexuality. If I can figure it out how to do it discreetly (fake names, etc.), I may well write about it. There is sure the curiosity out there. For now, I just point them to The Bonobo Way and Sex at Dawn.
