So sorry. All I can say is Death ends a life but not a relationship. Sorry I didn’t see it earlier. He’s a grand guy and I’ll miss seeing him from time to time.
I feel for you. I know you loved him very much. He’s one of a kind and he was nuts about you.
He didn’t look too happy in the hospital with minimal movement. But I’m sure if he could’ve stayed, he would have. He loved life and brought a light fair to everyone. One of the best laughs I ever heard too.
Again I’m sorry the gift of life comes with trickery.
I’m sure Max, and I would’ve put on German accents and elaborated on that last word, trickery! Please take care of yourself! I’ll be in touch!

Hey Suze,

I just wanted to reach out and let you know if you need any help, anything at all, just please let me know. Max left a lasting impression on me that I am always going to cherish.

I also want you to know how much you both mean to me. Its a tragedy and the grief your going through right now must seem insurmountable. Maybe its not what you want to hear but we cant allow distress to swallow us up. Its important for our loved ones to know that were going to continue on even when we have lost our anchor.

You are such a daring and outspoken woman and I feel that meshed well with Max and his gentle, quiet demeanor. But any fool, even me could see how much you cared for one another. Its going to be hard as shit moving forward but I can still hear his voice and will remember him fondly as I try to reflect that same care and kindness he showed me when I showed up at your doorstep.

You have people here that still love you very much Suze just please reach out to us if you have any concerns. Even if its just a chat. :) big hugs

It was a true honor and pleasure participating in the care of Max. I wish there was more that I could’ve done for him. I was deeply touched by the way that I observed Susan love and care for him. I don’t think she ever left his bedside and fought for him to receive the best care. I will never forget the look on Max’s face every time that I walked into his room.
