I’m glad you have kept abreast of the events in the Persian gulf. Now Bush is hungry for war with Iran. Well excuse me (to paraphrase steve martin), but who gave Iran the opportunity to aid insurgents by deposing Saddam in the first place. And what about Osama Bin Ladin, the person who was behind 911? Also launching an attack against Iran, when the troops are stretched as is, is rather stupid. But Bush speaks on the level of third grader, so lord knows what level he thinks at… Aol message boards are doing a lynching of Lieutenant Ehren Watada. Did the people pointing the finger at him actually serve in the armed forces ? When it comes to war, a lot of folks are armchair Rambos /Sgt Rocks. I think Lt. Watada’s acts are comparable to the soldiers who refused orders during the Vietnam War, another American war that wasted lives and money. Just think what they could have with funds squandered on Iraq, how many people they could have put through school or research an alternative energy source or (heaven forbid) extend unemployment benefits and provide for job training…
