Hello there Dr. Susan,I wanted to thank you and your staff for the hospitality and for the invitation to attend the screening at the Speakeasy last weekend. It was quite engaging, informational and eye opening. It was also a pleasure meeting you and David, Kim, Mike and Chris (who was a fabulous stand-in bartender I must say) and having the opportunity to spend time with all of you and your guests. It was just the change of pace and enjoyment I had needed for sometime now. We spoke a bit towards the end of the evening about my serving in the military previously for 10 years and overcoming the multiple knee surgeries I have endured. We also spoke of the strong message the film conveyed and on the 90 mile drive back to Carlsbad, I had a lot of thoughts travelling through my head. The film was very inspirational and I have spoken with a number of friends and prior military associates about it’s message and the fact that they should see it. I believe it is to be shown in San Diego soon. No one may control free will or apathy, but many may help to influence it with a bit of education and compassion and I believe that’s at least a step in the right direction towards change. I must say, I would love to be on your e-mail list for upcoming invitations for any future events to be held at the Speakeasy. I considered it a privledge to be invited in the first place. Is there any way of distributing this to the Ritz movie chain which shows independent films? War profiteering is nothing new. But war profiteering that impoverishes the country is inexcusable.

I had a wonderful time at the speakeasy….as usual. Thank you so much for the screening of that movie. It was enlightening for sure! The film did seem a bit slapped together and it was too important to present in less than a polished presentation. This information needs to be disseminated more publicly, my God!!!You looked fabulous, sexy, healthy, and content. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to hug you goodbye. Here, muahhhhhhhhh!
