I grew up Catholic like Gail, so I sympathize with the religious PTSD.

I feel for Gail, by the sound of it looks like she had a few traumatic experiences but she is still so cheerful and understands that she needs to stop this cycle, that is for sure the first step. Aside from these abusive relationships having the strong catholic background may not help so much. Religious ideas like “purity” “Holiness” and “servitude” that are so prevalent in Christianity keep women from exploring their sexuality which hinders them from getting to know themselves fully. There is so much power in knowing yourself and owning your sexuality especially for a women and having these ideas drilled into you as a child is a long and lengthy process and just as such it will take time for Gail to de clutter her mind from these ideas. Gail Stairs: I feel like when we have deep rooted trauma from multiple people 1 episode of one show just isn’t enough. She needs MULTIPLE sessions to hash it out. But her talking about it at all at any length is good, right? Also I want her contortionist skills!!! I want her to give me a contortion class!
