What a great memorial to Willem de Ridder! A brilliant man who saw the world in a different light. What a talent to produce such erotic magazines such as “Suck,” among many others. I enjoyed going down memory lane with Captain Max and his good friend Willem. Such a wealth of intriguing stories!

Willem de Ridder was an icon in the underground art/publishing scene. I’m glad Capt. Max gave us the background of his involvement with Willem in Los Angeles and in Europe. He’s certainly an artist who made his mark AND got noticed!

Capt’n Max’s and Dr. Suzy’s life could easily be a movie. The things they’ve done, people they’ve interacted with, stories they have are nothing short of freakin amazing.

How many people can say that they told the FBI to get the F*ck out of their office?

It is great to listen to a living legend talk about the things they’ve done which have had a quantifiable impact on Free Speech in America and Europe if not the entire world.

Thanks for telling us all about Willem and the adventures you two have had and shared.

This was an excellent show. I can only imagine the kind of indelible impression Willem De Ridder made on Max. Your fantastic show really gave us a peak into a genius is born moment. I had never heard of Willem De Ridder, however, your show revealed how talented he was.

I feel that I learned so much from this episode. I never really knew the history of underground publishing in LA, and other places! It’s really fascinating. Max and Willem’s adventures are incredible, and I am surprised Hollywood hasn’t come knocking more often…

This was a great episode. I understand that it must have been hard for Max to tell his stories, but I am glad that he is helping to keep Willem’s legacy alive. This was a very emotional and heartfelt show. Thanks for sharing.
