“Stop the War we want to get off” is such a profound statement on many levels. Firstly, jumping on board the propaganda War Train is so easy and feels so right and before you know it, you are zooming along like everyone else at 100 mph with no regard to human life. Then there is the “getting off” part because there is a primal part of our ape brain (the chimpanzee part) that is intoxicated by violence. HOwever, thankfully we also have a “bonobo side” of our brain that loves to “get off” to the happy things in life, peace, love, and all that jazz. This is the part we need to listen to and we need to stop the War so we can “get off” in the right and positive way. Then lastly, there is the need to Stop the War so we can get off– as in leave- this violent War Train that we as a species are addicted to. So there are a lot of levels here in such a great statement as echoed by the show.

Putin is creating random wounds without apparent consciousness while sitting in a room with a one-way mirror watching with emotional distance while the world watches with eyes that reduce Putin to non-sensical and irrational. Angry with a ghost that grew from Putin’s own head as he chases alongside spirits that are not aligned with peace to fight people who have no cause in any of this.
