So true about kink therapy. BDSM can be incredibly cathartic & the Dom/me is the facilitator.
That’s interesting about DomCon lack of competition. Never really thought about that, but pro-BDSM is almost shockingly non-cutthroat…And yeah, how are pros not lifestyle?! I know the attitude, but it always amazes me. Many pros are basically lifestylers with jobs that other lifestylers envy…

I really enjoyed the discussion about therapy and kink. I am starting my MA in clinical psychology soon, and I noticed that all the depths of sexuality are largely neglected in the curriculum, which is standard for most schools. You have to educate yourself separately. It would be beneficial if more people were open. Kink is still a largely taboo subject, even among people who study the human mind and behavior for a living.

At first I was bummed out about the idea of a Virtual DomCon, but actually, it will make it accessible for ANYONE around the world. Could be a blessing in disguise and grow DomCon into something even bigger. IN the future (assuming there is a future after the Coronapacolypse) when things return to normal, it would be nice to still have a Virtual DomCon Presence to dommes from around the world can still join in on the fun :-)
