I also loved her appearances on HBO. She really is a polymath and renaissance woman. Her recent piece on the right-wing, Trump and cuckolding is spot on. I have written about this as well–focusing on the “alt-right” and their fixation on white male sexual power and dominance over black men. As you know these appeals to white male sexual power and potency are one of Trump’s repeated rhetoric devices. There is also a libidinal attachment between Trump’s followers and their Great Leader. He leads a political cult and his members are in love with him and want to have sex with him. And of course, while reading Susan Block’s CounterPunch piece I smiled when I saw one of my recent essays/interviews quoted re: Trump as the Charlie Manson of American politics….. Again, what Dr. Block is doing is so very important.
